About Two Brothers. Our story and amazing team

Two Brothers Pictures was set up by BAFTA and Golden Globe nominated writer and producers Harry and Jack Williams in 2014. With the aim of producing quality scripted television in the UK and internationally, Two Brothers Pictures has quickly become one of the most exciting and successful production companies in the UK.


The London based independent, which joined the All3Media family in February 2017, has produced some of TVs best loved shows.  These include Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Emmy & Golden Globe winning, modern cult classic, Fleabag (for BBC Three and Amazon) and Jack and Harry Williams’ much talked about drama Liar (ITV), the hugely successful Baptiste (BBC One) and most watched drama of 2022 The Tourist (BBC One). 

Focussing on original contemporary stories, the company also produced The Widow starring Kate Beckinsale (ITV and Amazon), ratings hit drama Cheat (ITV), ambitious international drama series Strangers (ITV and Amazon) and Daisy Haggard’s “darkly comic gem”, Back To Life (BBC One). Most recently, Two Brothers Pictures released the second series of The Tourist and darkly comic thriller, Boat Story, both for BBC One. Two Brothers Pictures has several new commissions underway including the brand new comedy series Dinosaur for BBC and Hulu.

 

As the multi-award-winning production company heads into its tenth successful year, executive Producer, Sarah Hammond has stepped up as Chief Creative Officer and Michael Latif into the role of Chief Operating Officer. Both working alongside Head of Production, Emma Pike. Key to the newly bolstered team is Drama Executive Daisy Mount, who joins Two Brothers from Prime Video, with a focus on generating ideas from established and new talent with the balance of stylistic ingenuity, quality and populist appeal that has been the benchmark of Two Brothers work to date. Leading comedy producer Katie Churchill, who joins from Sky Studios, steps into the new role of Comedy Executive to continue and grow the company’s historic, award-winning comedy slate. Dovetailing both drama and comedy will be Cleo Hetherington who joins as Head of Development from Drama Republic, Cleo aims to galvanise a unique and exciting slate. 

Two Brothers Pictures will continue to build on their impressive body of work as one of the UK’s leading production companies.  Sitting within All3Media, the label will continue to focus on championing new and established talent, nurturing creative ambitions, vision and stories to produce premium, entertaining and original drama and comedy for the UK, US and international markets. 

Meet the team

Harry & Jack Williams

Writers & Managing Directors

Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning, BAFTA-nominated writer-producer duo Harry and Jack Williams set up their independent production company Two Brothers Pictures in 2014. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, producing shows for Amazon, HBO, AMC, BBC, ITV and Sky. At the core of the slate is Harry and Jack’s writing partnership, with their first dramas for the company including BBC1’s ONE OF US and BBC1’s Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated drama THE MISSING. THE MISSING, which starred James Nesbitt, was also nominated for four BAFTAs, including Best Drama. This success led to a second series, starring Keeley Hawes and David Morrissey, which broadcast at the end of 2016 to critical and commercial acclaim. ​ Harry and Jack have only become more prolific since then, writing shows such as the hugely successful ITV suspense thriller LIAR, starring Ioan Gruffudd and Joanne Froggatt. The first series aired in 2017 and as one of ITV’s highest performing dramas of the year, it went on to win the Best New Drama TV Choice Award. LIAR returned for a second series in 2020 and has since been one of the most popular drama formats around the globe. In 2019, Harry and Jack brought back THE MISSING’s charismatic Julien Baptiste (Tchéky Karyo) for his own BBC1 series, BAPTISTE, as well as creating THE WIDOW starring Kate Beckinsale for ITV and Amazon. 2021 then saw the release of a second series of BAPTISTE. In 2022, they went on to write the hugely successful series THE TOURIST for BBC1, filmed in the Australian outback and starring Jamie Dornan, which became the most watched television drama of the year. This Autumn saw the release of their black comedy thriller BOAT STORY starring Daisy Haggard, Paterson Joseph, Tchéky Karyo and BAFTA award winner Joanna Scanlan on which Jack and Harry made their directorial debut on the first two episodes. Following that, THE TOURIST made a comeback in the New Year for a second season, this time set in the Republic of Ireland. Alongside their writing, Harry and Jack have also sought to nurture the best new writing talent. They executive produced award-winning comedy FLEABAG, the second series of which was nominated for 11 Primetime Emmys. It won 6 including Outstanding Comedy Series. In 2019, the team worked with Gaby Hull who wrote thriller CHEAT for ITV, Daisy Haggard and Laura Solon who wrote sitcom BACK TO LIFE and Tim Key who penned comedy short WONDERDATE. 2021 saw the release of BACK TO LIFE series 2 to critical acclaim. Most recently they executive produced Matilda Curtis and Ashley Storrie’s Glasgow based comedy DINOSAUR for BBC and HULU which is due for transmission this Spring.

Michael Latif

Chief Operating Officer

Michael joined Two Brothers in May 2018 as Head of Finance and is responsible for managing the company finances. Michael has previously worked in finance roles across a range of industries including Property, Aviation and Hospitality with his last role at The Breakfast Club in London. Michael stepped up to Chief Operating Officer in July 2023, whilst Two Brothers had a stellar year delivering several shows, including BOAT STORY for the BBC/AMAZON FREEVEE, and THE TOURIST for BBC/STAN/NETFLIX. Michael is a Chartered Accountant having qualified through CIMA.

Sarah Hammond

Chief Creative Officer

Sarah is an Emmy, PGA and Golden Globe award winning television producer. Since joining Two Brothers in 2014, Sarah has produced numerous programs for the UK and US market including the multi-award winning FLEABAG which won 6 Primetime Emmy Awards in 2019, including Best Comedy Series. Sarah developed and Exec Produced two series of the International EMMY nominated BACK TO LIFE written by and starring Daisy Haggard for the BBC and Showtime, EP’d ANGELA BLACK for ITV and SPECTRUM; and will serve as EP on the forthcoming BOAT STORY and the second season of smash hit drama series THE TOURIST, both for the BBC. Sarah is currently running projects in active development for Hulu, Amazon, Peacock, Showtime, C4, BBC among others. Before starting at Two Brothers, Sarah worked with theatre producer Sonia Friedman, assisting her on SFP’s West End and Broadway shows including HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, THE BOOK OF MORMON, JERUSALEM, OLD TIMES, among others. Sarah began her career in TV, Theatre and Film publicity at Public Eye Communications, working primarily with comedians Rob Brydon and Miranda Hart and on TV comedy shows such as MIRANDA, ARMSTRONG AND MILLER and THAT MITCHELL AND WEBB LOOK.

Emma Pike

Head of Production

With over 20 years freelance experience in the industry Emma cut her teeth on cult indies like NIL BY MOUTH and THE INNOCENT SLEEP. She then worked up through production on both features and TV drama with credits including WARRIORS, SNATCH and LAYER CAKE. Emma’s Line Producing credits include UNITED, DEATH COMES TO PEMBERLEY and the first two series of BLACK MIRROR. Most recently she Co Produced THE MISSING 2 and Line Produced Two Brothers’ LIAR before joining the company in 2017.

Daisy Mount

Drama Executive

Daisy joined Two Brothers in January 2024 following her time at Prime Video where she was the creative executive for scripted in the UK, developing and commissioning series for the global streamer. There she helmed tentpole thrillers WILDERNESS and THE RIG and was at the heart of building the UK slate including BAFTA-winning JUNGLE, Jez Butterworth’s critically acclaimed MAMMALS and International Emmy nominated THE DEVIL’S HOUR. Prior to Amazon Studios Daisy worked at Channel 4 for several years, initially in marketing, then digital programming and commissioning. She lead national creative campaigns across drama, sport, brand and entertainment and worked alongside the Director of Programming as the Channel Executive before moving into commissioning on the digital channels. Here she worked across both unscripted and scripted for All 4 and E4. It was also in her time at Channel 4 that she began developing and producing scripted short films outside of the business. Daisy began her career in publishing with Ian Fleming Publications before moving on to Penguin Random House where she worked in Childrens – on Young Adult fiction across the Berkley and Puffin imprints – and then latterly in Penguin Michael Joseph.

Katie Churchill

Comedy Executive

Katie joined Two Brothers in Autumn 2023 to co-exec DINOSAUR, a comedy for BBC3 and Hulu as well as joining the team across the development of the comedy slate. Before Two Brothers, Katie worked at Sky Studios, Tiger Aspect Productions, Cave Bear Productions and Creative Artists Agency. While at Sky Studios she produced a Peter Capaldi directed comedy-drama pilot starring Anne-Marie Duff, executive produced several shorts for SKY COMEDY SHORTS strand, and worked across development into Sky's channels. At Tiger Aspect she produced the pilot and Series One of LAZY SUSAN for BBC2 and BBC3, Simon Amstell's SET FREE for Netflix, and she developed projects with broadcasters in the UK and US, including Channel 4, BBC, Sky and FX. In addition to her TV work, Katie co-founded and remains a director of Berk's Nest Productions, which is one of the most prolific and awarded boutique creative production companies working in live comedy. Since its inception ten years ago, it has sold over 200,000 tickets, programming UK-wide tours, West End shows (Nick Mohammed), and producing 100+ Edinburgh runs. Berk's Nest shows have won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show twice (Rose Matafeo, Richard Gadd) and for Best Newcomer with Cat Cohen's debut show. They have received seven other nominations since 2016. Through this work, alongside producing, Katie has directed many Berk's Nest productions, including three Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominated shows from Kieran Hodgson: '75, MAESTRO and LANCE.

Cleo Hetherington

Head of Development

Cleo Hetherington joined Two Brothers Pictures as head of development at the start of 2024. Before Two Brothers, Cleo worked at Drama Republic, joining as executive assistant in 2016 and assisting on shows including DOCTOR FOSTER and BLACK EARTH RISING. She then worked as development assistant, script editor (Mike Bartlett's BBC One show LIFE), head of development and script executive. In her time at Drama Republic she fostered new and existing talent, optioned and developed hotly-contested IP and developed shows across a broad slate of drama and comedy drama. In the early part of her career Cleo worked at companies including Hay Festival, Celtic Media Festival, Tiger Aspect, and Lonesome Pine Productions.

Georgina Pickford

Story Producer

Before joining Two Brothers in Autumn 2023 as a Story Producer, Georgina worked on the script team for Netflix’s THE CROWN written by Peter Morgan. As a Script Editor for the 4th, 5th, and 6th seasons, she contributed to the development of all episodes and worked with directors Stephen Daldry, Erik Richter Strand, Alex Gabassi, Jessica Hobbs and Christian Schwochow during prep, production and post-production. Prior to her time at THE CROWN, Georgina served as Development Coordinator and Assistant to EP, Suzanne Mackie, at Left Bank Pictures.

Indiana Sky

Production Coordinator

Indiana first joined Two Brothers in 2021 as Production Assistant on ANGELA BLACK, BACK TO LIFE S2, THE TOURIST, BAPTISTE S2 & pilot DINOSAUR. She returned in 2022 as the In House Production Coordinator on TOURIST S2 & BOAT STORY alongside Script Editing on DINOSAUR. Indiana previously freelanced as Production Secretary for Spun Gold TV, Hat Trick Productions, Leopard Pictures and Avalon. She has a BA in Film, Television and Digital Production from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Samuel Bayes

Management Accountant

Sam joined Two Brothers in November 2023 from the All3Media Group Consolidation team. Graduating with a First Class Bsc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, after completing a placement year at All3Media. He then got a place on the All3Media graduate scheme, becoming a qualified Charted Accountant through the ACCA.

Millie Bloom

Development Assistant

Millie joined Two Brothers in 2022 as Script Assistant on BOAT STORY before becoming Development Assistant. She works on projects across the slate, as well as scouting for new writers and managing script submissions. Millie has a BA in History from the University of Bristol (2021). In July 2022 she graduated from the writing MA at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Millie previously volunteered for ERA 50:50, and has been a reader for The Forge Entertainment and a variety of theatre companies.

Hebe Brown

Executive Assistant to Jack Williams, Harry Williams and Sarah Hammond

Hebe joined Two Brothers in January 2024 as an Executive Assistant. Prior to joining, she freelanced as a Locations Assistant for Mammoth Screen and Sister Pictures, as well as undertaking work experience as a Runner at Neal Street Productions. Hebe also holds a BA in English and an MA in Screenwriting with Distinction from the University of East Anglia.
